Baby, it's cold outside!

Here's a glimpse of some of our winter!
We color, we do jobs so we can earn tickets to watch shows or play Nintendo. We make treats, take naps, play, read, get rowdy and then bundled up to play out in the cold!

Merry Christmas?

Is that still legal to say? Even though I was horrible at taking pictures this Christmas, I still wanted to document. 2011-I will take more pictures on holidays. the end.
This first picture is the kids getting ready to slide down the stairs on the table. Don't worry, Zach is holding the front end of the table and I was holding the kids-after I took the picture. :)

We loved being in this house for Christmas! It was so fun to decorate! I also enjoyed the truly white Christmas! Yes, it has been cold here...but my house is warm and I have scarfs. :)

The only picture I have of Christmas Eve is of the flooded floor in the basement toy room and of our living room after our Christmas preparations were finished at 3:30 A.M.! -that's the other thing we are going to do better this year-getting to bed earlier!
We left our house at 8:15 and headed for Bountiful. My brother Dave was on Skype from Norway when we got there! What fun it was to talk to him! It is nice to be able to see them when you are talking to them but then it's sad when you watch them hang up! I am so glad they are both happy on their missions!
Sarah got sick on Christmas and threw up...so we left my parents house. Apparently she just needed to throw up because she felt just fine after that. I was bummed to have to take off but it was nice to be able to see everyone. All my sisters were at my parents and with all our kids, that equals a lot of people! It is fun to see cousins playing nicely together and excited to see each other. My kids love their cousins!
We stopped by the Nielson's on the way home and had dinner and then opened presents. Christmas should last two days. It seems there isn't enough time to enjoy everyone!
But, it was a wonderful day! We felt so blessed all day! What a wonderful thing "family" is!

The simple things!

I love kids! I just love the simple things that entertain them! Would you believe these two played in this box for an hour?! I kept peeking in and checking on them (without being seen of course) because I just couldn't believe it! They stayed in there for an hour!
