Congratulations - We have DELIVERY!!!

To all who guessed it would be a GIRL (including ourselves)............Joshua Delmer was born March 27th at 6:28 AM at 8lbs. 7 oz. and 19" long - with blonde hair. WOW! It is so fun to have him here and we are super excited to bring him home (hopefully tonight so that I can post some pictures for you all to drool over). I don't want to give all the details, because Becca would love to talk to you all, but her water broke at 2:45 AM (I know this because she woke me up and that's what time the clock said)........so I helped her get situated called Mom in Bountiful and asked why she answered the phone and she said she was just thinking she'd come babysit the kids in Ogden for fun. Anyway @ 4:00 she got here, contractions were steady and not very far inbetween - hard enough with me helping her through them to get our packed bags out the door with a few pillows and a towel. So at 5:00 we left to the hospital - trust me I was trying......I didn't fall back asleep or anything like that. Well, 3 contractions in the 1.5 mile drive to the hospital later and 3 more in the wheelchair before getting checked in to the hospital. 1 more as she was walking over to the bed to determine how far along she was in labor - we found out she was COMPLETE and would have a baby VERY soon. Jill our nurse along with another 7-8 went into action, trying to hold Becca off from pushing before being in the "preferred" delivery room. I was left grabbing bags and turned to find my laboring wife being "wheeled" down the hall and me trying to catch up to the very bed she was in. At 6:01 Becca had just been moved over to the preferred bed in the preferred room and nurses were running everywhere (I really wish this was on video)., trying to finish preparations and now ignoring all pre-admission checklist procedures (in my opinion atleast - they were probably totally fine) and questions except for the absolutely necessary that I answered. Our doctor showed up a few minutes after that, went through a few more contractions and was pushing and wham 6:28 AM- we did not expect to see that our baby was a male, no way shape or form did we believe it. What an awesome surprise, Ben has a little brother to play with now that he is super excited about (he still asked where Lily was when he came to see Mom and Baby Joshua). Oh the fun it is to not find out what you are having until the moment of delivery and realizing you got brainwashed by your own 4 year old son for the past 5 months. Maybe some others will convert to not finding out what you are having until delivery after reading this post as well. We will support you EVERY step of the way. After all is said and done and my rambling we are SOOOOO glad to have him here and he is Perfect (no biased opinions there). Pictures will come later on tonight or tomorrow morning for as soon as we get home.

I must document...

Oh a month ago we went to our family cabin...with some family. We had such a good time! I wanted to share pictures and such, so here they are.
It was fun to spend time with Matt and Dave together, they are such funny kids.
Sarah handled her first snowmobile ride quite well. She had fun sledding and playing with her second cousin Lexie.
My cousin Spencer just got home from his mission like two weeks before this so it was fun to have him there.
Notice Zach and Ben's hats...I made them! Yeah, it was Zach's Christmas present that I finished for valentines day...They turned out pretty good I was a little proud of myself.
I was the one with the camera and so, no pictures of me. I was large then and am even larger now. It was funny to ride a snow mobile but I survived. Even though I was very pregnant, I still went sledding a little and that was lots of fun!
It was a good time and worth the effort it took to get there.

Happy Birthday Benjamin!!!

What a fun day it has been! As I'm typing this, I realize I didn't get a single picture of all the snow! We had 8 inches at least at our house, just today!
Because of my spin out, we don't usually go places when it snows, so we had some fun times inside. We made rockets, colored, read books, watched a movie, played and played some more. Grammy & Oompa brought Solomon & Luke over for some pizza, cake and ice cream.
Out of all we did today and all the gifts he was given, I think his three favorite things were playing with balloons, the shirt Solomon gave him and his new bike...really I'm not sure which one wins. Funny, the simple pleasures!
It is crazy to think back on the last four years! Time sure does fly! I am 37 weeks today and can't believe 4 years ago I was in the hospital holding my first! What a sweet boy Ben is! He has been a blessing in my life in so many ways! I blame it on the fact I'm pregnant, but I sure get teary when I think of him!
Some things about Ben:

He loves to play...anything-imaginative play or basketball.
He wants to be just like his dad, he would do anything with him (b-ball, fix the car, work, paint, lift weights, hunt, read, watch TV, wrestle..etc)
He loves to read, no matter what he is doing, if I sit, open up a book and start reading, he'll come sit next to me and read with me.
He loves primary.
He loves to talk about Jesus and Heavenly Father
He never wants to stop reading the scriptures (it probably helps that we have the picture set)
He loves being a helper, to me, Zach or Sarah.
He is such a good big brother
He is so cute playing with or helping Sarah (when he wants to) :)
He is so excited for this baby and talks about all the time
He is also excited for the 4 other babies that will follow...or is it five? If anyone asks him about the baby in my tummy he says yeah and I have five babies. There is Lily, Joshua, Maya, Becca Rabe, Ben and Bennie. (Becca Rabe is a girl in our ward, so obviously, I disregard her, Ben and Bennie.) He pretty much says this to everyone....with the addition of "isn't Bennie a funny name?!)
He is so ticklish! I can barely poke him and he almost can't stand it! I love it!
He has such a contagious laugh!
He is honest
He always wants to ride bikes or play outside.
He is very inquisitive and often has a comment about everything.
He is just so sweet!
I guess I could go on forever. I love you Ben! Happy Birthday! I LOVE being your mom! How did I get so lucky?
