New years bring new resolutions....

I can't help but look at these three and think they deserve everything and more! I seriously feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family! I want to do so much more than I am.
I love being in such a position of influence. A wife who supports, encourages and loves....etc.
A mother who nurtures, teaches, plays, loves and encourages, etc, etc, etc!
Laugh more, worry about the dust less.
Love their faces and do my best to show it.
Treat them like they mean everything to me because they really do!
There is a little quote on my computer desk I look at often by Ralph Waldo Emerson (who I really like) that say's "We are always getting ready to live, but never living." I have always been a dreamer...I love to talk, to plan, to dream and I all to often write it down and forget about it or sit around thinking on the day I'll do it. This year, I want to do more things instead of just think of them. I can do that!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas came and the goose sure was fat! -wait, we didn't have a goose. We had brunch, waffles, fruit, sausage and juice. It was fabulous!
I love Christmas just for the sake of quality family time! Zach gets more time off work- me and the kids all love that!
It snowed! Wow, that added so much to the week! We love to play and go on walks in the snow. I love how snow just quiets everything down...well, if I'm at my house. Driving, now that is a different story!
We went to my parents house for a Christmas before Christmas so the whole fam could be there. How nice it was!
Christmas day was at the Nielson's and everyone was there...if you count web cam. :)

Call me Cheesy

Our children, they are such joy. They are seriously a piece of Heaven in our home. The day after Sarah was born my mom brought Ben to the hospital and it was such a reunion for them. I loved watching how excited he was to see her. He was so sweet and has continued to be just as sweet.
We do have our moments where Ben needs to be reminded to "be soft". Sarah now smiles and laughs at him and is eating the hands that are so often in her face!

so what if I let my child play in a garbage bag?!

Confession:
I can never(alright, almost never) resist the mischievous grin or the look on Ben's face that says, "I gotta check this out!" He loves to figure things out and anything new. I have to say, I love it too!
So, we were about to put the recently raked up leaves into garbage bags when I recognized the "look" that said, "I think I can fit inside this thing".
Before I know it, he's inside the bag and I'm grabbing the camera. I do have to say it was perfect timing because he popped his head out right when I took the picture. I love being a mom!
